WCNF Scholarship Application Announcement 

The World Christian Nursing Foundation (WCNF) is a mission organization whose calling is to share the gospel of Christ through nursing ministry, education, and service to local communities, the nation, and the world. 

1.       Eligibility: Nursing students currently enrolled in, or admitted to, a nursing college (or school of nursing) located in Southern California

2.       Number of recipients: 5-6 students

3.       Scholarship amount: $2,000 per student (to be paid in two installments of $1,000 each)

4.       Required application materials

a.        Scholarship application form (download from the WCNF website: wcnfusa.org)

b.       Proof of enrollment in a nursing program or admission letter to a school of nursing, and an official transcript (GPA 3.0/4.0 or higher)

c.        Essay (maximum 2 pages, font size 11 pt) Topic: Self‑introduction, reasons you want to become a nurse, and your future goals as a Christian nurse (include your faith testimony, leadership/community service experience, and reasons for applying for this scholarship). 

Re‑applicants’ essay: Include your faith testimony over the past year, leadership/community service experience, and how the WCNF scholarship has helped you.

5.       Application deadline: May 31, 2026

6.       Notification date: July 15, 2026 (individual notification; submitted documents will not be returned)

7.       Scholarship award ceremony (attendance required):

a.       September 12, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., at the World Christian Nursing Foundation in Gardena

10.    Scholarship recipient requirements

a.        Recipients must register and participate as WCNF student chapter members.

b.       Recipients must attend WCNF prayer meetings (student chapter meetings) at least three times per year.

c.        Recipients must participate in at least one mission activity before graduation.
